I was born and raised in small town Burlington, WI. As far back as I can remember it’s been Wisconsin’s 63rd district, until this year. With new maps in place I am now in the 33rd district. So let’s set the boundaries straight.
The 63rd district covered the areas of:
Rochester
Union Grove
Dover
Yorkville
Burlington
Portions of the Town of Burlington
Portions of Mount Pleasant
Portions of Sturtevant
If you were residing in those areas you were in Robin Vos’ district. He has been elected to the 63rd district since 2004.
Since the redistricting, most importantly, there is NO incumbent in the 33rd district. In November when you go to the polls you will see three candidates:
Kelly Clark
Alan Kupsik
Robin Vos
In the coming days leading up to the November election I’ll detail why electing a lifetime politician, Robin Vos, to a new district would be detrimental for Wisconsin. But I regress. Let’s see if you now reside in the brand new 33rd district.
Burlington
Union Grove
Dover
Yorkville
Rochester
Kansasville
Eagle Lake
Most of the city of Lake Geneva
East Troy
If you have any questions about where you reside please reach out and I’ll help you figure it out. Lifetime politicians like to keep us confused and guessing so we don’t recognize the smoke and mirrors show they are putting on.
The districts were changed, the new boundaries have been set, there is no incumbent, the candidates for the new 33rd district are launched and now we need to ask ourselves do we want real change or will we accept the political status quo for our new district.
Personally, I want to see more than just a change to the geographical district.
