January 20th, 2025, Inauguration Day #47
I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment today to congratulate President Trump and Vice-President J.D. Vance on a beautiful inaugural ceremony and the successful launch of their presidency and vice presidency. It is exciting to think that our soldiers might be able to focus on soldiering and families might be able to focus on time together and not how they are going to afford the next grocery bill.
I am cautiously optimistic about what the next four years will bring. I noticed as the inaugural ceremony was beginning that Trump was wearing what appeared to be a purple tie. On closer inspection it was a tie with very small blocks of red and blue but at any distance it looks purple. I am hopeful that it was a symbolic gesture of uniting the people of the United States, outside of what we have come to know are two corrupt parties, draining the political swamp while filling the pool of opportunities for we the people.
It will be of great import that we pray for the President of the United States and work to hold him accountable along with all other elected officials.
I am always proud to be an American, but I must admit that today my heart swelled just a little bit more. God bless America!
