Eric Hovde, the woke, social justice, pro-abortion candidate running for U.S Senate in Wisconsin under the guise of being “conservative”
One of my favorite Bible verses is: Ephesians 5:11, “Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.”
Significantly more important than a political banner or letter you are running for office under, is where do your morals, integrity and honor lie. I am frankly in complete despair at the willingness of those who claim they are against what liberals push (transgenderism, abortion until baby is viable outside the womb, open borders, total inclusion) being the same people who will excuse it when it applies to someone who has an “R” by their name. And NO an “R” does not equate MORALS, INTEGRITY or HONOR. Maybe at one time it did but that’s no longer the case.
Why is this important right now? Well in June I made a post about Sharon Hovde (Eric Hovde’s wife) being on the board of an organization called Bethel Horizons which is part of Bethel Church in Madison, WI. They are in partnership with LOM and American Camp Association. Both very woke organizations that are involved with Total Inclusion, Global Refuge.
Bethel Church in Madison, WI is part of the ELCA. Bethel Church, the ELCA and their outreaches have gone completely and totally woke. In 2021 they became a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Church. The church signs an agreement when they become a RIC Church. Total inclusion, social Justice, and global refuge are their focus. You can disagree with what I post but it doesn’t negate that it’s truth and fact.
Read more about what it takes to become a RIC Church https://www.reconcilingworks.org/ric/becomeric/
Here are just a few of the philosophy promotions from Bethel Church and RIC:
What I find personally offensive is the double standard Republicans have when it comes to exposing the truth. They are all up in arms when it’s a democrat they can point the finger at for pushing social justice, transgenderism, open borders, and abortion until who knows when but when faced with the fact that someone they believe to be a Republican, because of a letter by their name, is exposed they bury their head in the sand and justify the behaviors. Either you are or you aren’t against those things. It’s not a hard question.
Let me also touch quickly on the ELCA’ abortion social statement which includes the wording: child. “This church opposes ending intrauterine life when a fetus is developed enough to live outside a uterus with the aid of reasonable and necessary technology. If a pregnancy needs to be interrupted after this point, every reasonable and necessary effort should be made to support this life, unless there are lethal fetal abnormali- ties indicating that the prospective newborn will die very soon.”
The difference between a wanted 22 week pregnancy and an unwanted 22 week pregnancy. Twenty two weeks is about the time a pregnancy is considered viable outside the womb and the ELCA believes at that time abortion becomes questionable.
Bethel Horizons is the church that Eric Hovde and his wife are members of. His wife also sits on the board of the Bethel church Bethel Horizons outreach program. One does not become a member or remain a member of a church if their values do not align.

Eric Hovde and his wife are both members of a radically liberal church, which is a member of a radically liberal synod. The church has radically liberal outreaches including Bethel Horizons.
Sharon Hovde is on the board for Bethel Horizons and The Hovde Foundation gives money to Bethel Horizons and their extreme social ideas and stance on abortion. You can excuse the support and involvement in radical social justice, total inclusion, global refuge (open borders), pushing the democrat platform, the Inflation Reduction Act, abortion until a baby is viable outside the womb, all things their church teaches, if that helps you sleep better at night but when you go to the polls if you mark Eric Hovde’s name know that YOU ARE voting FOR all of those things and God is sees what man cannot.
I for one will not be voting for Eric Hovde on November 5th. Regardless of the party banner he is running under the evidence of his morals, principles and integrity do not align with mine and that’s more important than the letter he has by his name. One does not become a member of a church, get on the board of said church AND donate $125,000 between 2019 and 2022 to an organization that they do not align with.
Excellent dig! I knew he was a bad guy bankster but haven't had time to research this gut feeling [dislike] for banker running against Tommy Baldwin for senate. The corruption is so massive.
Would the nation be better off with Eric Hovde or Tammy Baldwin as a Senator?
