The Republican State Convention, not to be confused with the Republican National Convention which happened later in 2024, was held on May 17th - May 19th, 2024. At some point during that time, Senator Ron Johnson took the stage to address convention attendees.
Let’s rewind for a moment. On February 27th, 2024, I contacted Senator Ron Johnson’s office to alert them that Senator Johnson’s name was being used in a text poll sent to residents of the 63rd district in an attempt to connect Speaker Robin Vos’ name to Senator Johnson. There was equal concern from his office as to the validity of the poll and the implication of the text poll that he might endorse Vos. I had also mentioned that due to the shenanigans of the RPW at convention in 2022 and the meddling of Vos and his current wife, Michelle Litjens Vos in the counting of ballots during the Toss Vos resolution brought to the floor by county parties at convention and the fact that 24 former members would be unable to attend the 2024 RPW convention as delegates because we had dare support the “wrong” republican and were ex-communicated from our county party. Not to be re-instated for at least two years and then only if we are granted an interview and approved by the board members that kicked us out, that I would like to speak with Senator Johnson in person prior to the 2024 RPW convention. On April 12th, 2024, four constituents of the then 63rd assembly district met with Senator Ron Johnson and his state director. The premise of that meeting was to let Senator Johnson know about some of the bigger issues facing the district due to Vos still being in office and our grave concerns about the continued fracture in the Republican party if Vos remained in office. One of the issues discussed was Vos’ involvement in the pushing of masking and the Covid 19 vaccines in Wisconsin, more on that in a later substack.
Back to it, the RPW state convention was held on May 17th - May 19th, 2024. At some point during that time, Senator Ron Johnson took the stage to address convention attendees. I have heard Senator Johnson speak many times, this time from a screen on my laptop since I couldn’t attend the convention as a voting delegate, and I didn’t want to spend $150.00 or more just to attend as a guest, he has a powerful and appreciated approach to giving time and energy to constituents. As he started to speak you could hear the convention hall go quiet, there is a large respect for this man in Wisconsin, and then he mentions unifying, I just shook my head as I listened to boos erupt. Booing because Senator Johnson was speaking to the people, the people who have gathered signatures, knocked doors, defended, respected and voted for him who is now telling the people that they needed to come together under corrupt leadership in Wisconsin and unify. The message from constituents has been clear and continues to be reiterated, the leadership in the Wisconsin Republican Party is corrupt and needs to be replaced. Until that happens the rift, fracture, infighting will continue. There is no peace in corruption.
Following that unfortunate address to the people of Wisconsin from the most respected Republican elected official in the state, who has the perfect opportunity to side with the people over politicians this is what I have to say to Senator Ron Johnson about the person who has represented my district for 20 years and has been the Speaker of the Assembly for the last 12, Robin Vos. If this is something you would also like to say to Senator Ron Johnson, I would encourage you to send an email to him or call and let him know.
“Therefore, since petitioning the government has a long tradition in Wisconsin, beginning with early colonists and continuing with early settlers, and since by 1836 the Wisconsin Territorial Government received its first petition, demonstrating citizens’ desire to cultivate a just and moral society,
And therefore, since at least 24 Racine County Republicans were rejected from membership in their county party, the county of which Robin Vos is sworn to represent, thus having their voice torn from them within the party apparatus,
And therefore, since the federal government through former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, has already warned Wisconsin leadership, specifically Robin Vos, the vice president of the State Legislators Leadership Foundation, about the dangers of involvement with China-affiliated groups, and Robin Vos responded by reaffirming the State Legislators Leadership Foundation’s partnership with China,
And therefore, since Robin Vos holds a 14% approval rating and acts in ways that are retaliatory and slanderous to constituents, fellow assembly members, and senators, while working hard to censor, gaslight, and restrict freedom of speech from anyone who disagrees with him,
And therefore, since Robin Vos has stated publicly on a podcast, “Donald Trump is a big reason for the division in the state, if Donald Trump is the nominee for our party it’s going to be Watergate in 2024. I mean we have got a major problem with someone who, I mean I watched his CPAC speech, and I turned it off because I was embarrassed,”
And therefore, since Robin Vos has stated publicly on a podcast, “I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure he’s [Donald Trump] is not [the Republican nominee],”
And therefore, since Senator Ron Johnson has chastised Robin Vos on more than one occasion for withdrawing subpoenas that special investigator Former Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman had issued, and for eventually firing Gableman and calling him an “embarrassment to Wisconsin,”
And therefore, since Senator Ron Johnson has been made aware on multiple occasions by Wisconsin residents and constituents of Robin Vos’ stranglehold on Wisconsin and the division Vos is creating, most recently on April 12th, 2024, and again on May 18th, 2024,
And therefore, since we have a critical presidential election coming up in November and we cannot risk Vos’ interference and continued perpetration of division within the party,
Be it resolved; therefore, that we, the grassroots Conservative Wisconsinites through petitioning of our government representative, which has a longstanding tradition in Wisconsin,
and be it resolved; therefore, that grassroots Conservative Wisconsinites are willing and ready to help get President Trump re-elected in November, while it remains evident that Robin Vos is not and that he will continue to perpetrate division because it benefits him and his stranglehold on Wisconsin,
and be it resolved; therefore, since Robin Vos does not represent the interest of his constituents but the interests of special interests, big money and China, and has been warned directly by former US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, we are requesting that Senator Ron Johnson make a public statement calling for the immediate resignation of Speaker Robin Vos and that the public statement be made as soon as possible.”
It is time for Senator Ron Johnson to choose a side, the people or the politicians. He chose the people when it came to fighting Covid lockdowns, mandates and the vaccine. Let’s hope he chooses right in 2024; our state and our country are at stake. We cannot save our country without saving Wisconsin and we have very little hope of saving Wisconsin as long as Robin Vos is in an elected position. Go forth and spread the word. Please email and call Senator Ron Johnson and feel free to share with him the words of the resolution I wrote.
I'll contact him. Thank you for explaining this!
Ron Johnson did not fight COVID lockdowns, mandates and vaccines. He was actively encouraging and endorsing employers to mandate vaccines. He only changed his tune publicly after it became obvious that he needed to in order to stay in office after he questioned whether he would run again. Ron doesn't know about Cornell? No clue who Brad Smith is? Referred whistleblowers to Greta Neubauer? He also did not fight corruption or rigged elections. Ron is in the club. Ask Maria Bartiromo. Ron doesn’t know what secret societies are, or the role of Rotary? Does Robin Vos? Does Mike Gableman? Does Peter Bernegger? Ron prefers to discuss Packers football. He doesn't know about Titletown Tech, Gallagher and Palantir? Or US-Ukraine Business Council? Or Little Moscow?
